Abstract

The short review of a mineral raw material base of the mining enterprises of Sverdlovsk area is given. Characteristics and data on stocks of principal views of ore minerals are resulted. Now the mining enterprises of Sverdlovsk area cover requirement of metal works for raw materials on iron ore on 100%, to bauxites — to 80% and on copper ore — to 20%. The basic directions of development of mining branch till 2020 of Prospect of development iron ore are shown branch connected with Open Society development «EVRAZ Kachkanarsky GOK» — with involving in operation of Actually Kachkanarsky deposit and increase in volumes of extraction of iron ore to 60 million т in a year. Prospects of development of branch of nonferrous metallurgy contact increase in extraction of bauxites and copper ore. Building bauxites mines «Cheremuhovsky — Deep» is planned that will provide extraction at level of 3.2 million tons of bauxite in a year. Maintenance with copper raw materials will be based on continuation of development of group of Northern deposits. The mining complex has quite good prospects of innovative development under condition of essential investment support of expansion of a mineral raw material base and manufacture modernization. The article is prepared on the base of scientific and research work executed by the appointment of the Government of Sverdlovsk region.

The article is made ready on the results of investigations performed within the framework of the UB RAS inter-disciplinary project No. 12-M-23457-2041 “Earth mineral resources development: the prospects of expansion and all-round mineral raw material base development of the Urals mining-metallurgical complex”.
