Abstract | Effect of free and carrying solid particles air bubble, sinking into uniformly oscillating incompressible liquid, has been theoretically established and verified by experiment. Conditions, with which this effect is observed, are determined. Approximate expression for bubble average rate of sinking or floating, essentially depending on sinking depth and oscillating parameters, has been derived. The results may be used for applicable processes control. The studied mechanism of bubbles sinking may be named as oscillating. It was established, that bubbles sinking mechanism essentially depends on two non-dimensional parameters: w* — characteristic overload parameter and the ratio of external action amplitude to bubble radius η. These parameters characterize bubble compressibility degree in process of movement. |
