Abstract |
Development of innovative methods and approaches in education is an important task for the educational system in the era of digitalization. The goal of this article is to present the experience of interaction between Vernadsky State Geological Museum of Russian Academy of Sciences and the educational community based on digital technologies. The work under consideration targets implementation of museum facilities and methods for education in the field of Earth sciences using state-of-art technologies. It results in a new quality of communication environment within the continuous education system applied as for education as such so for career guidance in mining and geology. The paper presents examples of innovative techniques and methods such as scientific and educational projects and programs, on-line video lectures, teleconferences with universities being conducted by leading scientists of Russian Academy of Sciences, businessmen, and politicians, schoolchildren’s ‘Young Geologists Club’ and participation of its members in various contests both in off- and on-line modes. The accumulated experience demonstrates success of the digital technologies’ use and their integration into the educational environment. The study was carried out under R&D Project No. 0140-2019-0006. |
