Abstract

The plant has experienced substantial technical upgrading and production reorganization in recent years. The structure of the plant is added with a new subdivision—backfill workshop (BW). At present backfilling uses 100% of the current tailings. This enables waste-free ferrous quartzite mining and iron-ore concentrate production. At the same time, the closed-circuit water supply has been actualized, which allows elimination of outside-source process water in amount of 30 Mm3 per year. The critical strategic objective of the plant is to uncover and develop a new mining level in Gubkin’s Mine. Design capacity of the new mining level is 7 Mt crude ore yearly. It is scheduled to reach the design capacity in 2023. Socially, the plant builds up and consolidates traditions of a sound town-forming enterprise. An important undertaking is the conclusion of the Collective Agreement between the employers and employees. Before entering the Collective Agreement, co-workers discuss it in the production units and analyze the performance of the previous agreement.
