Chernye Metally
The 11th issue of “Chernye Metally” journal, 2016 is opened by its conventional sections “Iron and steel news of the world” and “News of the metallurgical companies”.
Similar to the previous issue it contains the main section “Rolling and Metal forming”, including 6 articles.
Three of these articles are devoted to the Russian researches. The first is prepared by the specialists of Siberian State Industrial University and EVRAZ Consolidated West-Siberian Metallurgical Plant (as in the previous issue), but it describes investigations in the field of raliroad rail rolling (not tram rail rolling) in the breakdown stands of the rail and beam rolling mill. The second presents examination of wear resistance of piercing mill plugs, based on the results obtainrf in Volgograd State Technical University. The third observes the experience of commercial production of micro-alloyed stainless low-carbon wire for bridge construction at 4200 reversed plate rolling mill at NLMK Dansteel plant in Fredrikswerk.
The foreign publications in this issue are presented by investigations of mechanical stresses in rolling mills manufactured by Willy Zahn Maschinenbau, by analysis of coils transportation in the hot rolling shop of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe and by review of operation experience of the tandem cold rolling mill made by SMS group.
The issue also publishes the papers in the sections “Continuous casting”, “Coating and Surface treatment”, “Automatic and Managing systems”, “HR policy and Labour protection”, “Steel as Material”. “Economics and Finances”, “Metallurgical history”.
