Aluminium Level Sensor

VHE Laser Level Sensors are the latest evolution of VHE's proven aluminium metal level sensors.

These laser sensors precisely measure the level of molten aluminium in casting machines and launders. They are fully compatible with all earlier models of VHE level sensors and will operate at a higher sensitivity with a minor software upgrade.

The new laser sensors have been fully designed and developed by VHE, with detailed proving trials in partnership with Rio Tinto Alcan.

VHE's aluminium level sensors are available with either one or two lasers. The twin laser model is able to determine the aluminium level in a slab relative to the mould top without the use of any additional sensor. The single laser model is particularly suited to launder level measurement.

Both models are enclosed in an air-cooled shell and may be readily mounted on the casting machine or launder.
