New order for SMS Meer. Anhui Tianda expands PQF® tube production from 10 ¾” to 13 ”
15.11.2012, 17:25Anhui Tianda Oil Pipe from the Chinese province Anhui has been successfully operating a PQF® mill from SMS Meer for the production of seamless tubes since 2007.
Until now the mill has produced tubes up to an outside diameter of 10 ¾”. After revamping by SMS Meer, Anhui Tianda Oil can now produce tubes up to an outside diameter of 13 ”.
Twelve new PQF® stands, including engineering, the necessary tools, the mathematical model and roll pass design now allow larger outside diameters to be produced.
The new PQF® stands can be installed in the existing mill without any notable modifications.
Delivery of the stands is scheduled for the end of 2012.
