Abstract | X-ray fluorescence analysis is the analysis of chemical elements, which is held by the most strong lines of the secondary X-ray spectrum (spectrum of the X-ray fluorescence). The analyzed samples can have both liquid and solid conditions. The method has the wide range of the content of defined elements: from 10—4 to 100 % (wt.) with the satisfactory instrumental error. As an example of the products of polymetallic ore, the article considers the usage peculiarities of the energy dispersive spectrometer S2 RANGER for copper, lead and zinc tests in polymetallic ores by method of X-ray fluorescence analysis. There is set forth the construction sequence of the standard curves with the wide concentrations range of the defined elements. There is described the operation with spectral lines and intensive secondary (characteristic) X-rays. The peculiarities of the samples` preparation are defined along with the conditions of the samples` measuring. The laboratory application of X-ray fluorescence analysis makes it possible to carry out the minimum error value of the chemical composition of any product, obtained during the concentration of mineral resources. The method gives an opportunity to increase the results ratio of experiments and to make the timely changes into the research work in tote. |
