During the process of projecting, construction and exploitation of potassium mines, one of the important moments is the choice and creation of technical devices, which conform to the necessary requirements. Due to these requirements, workers have the safe working conditions during the mining operations.
In recent years, specialists of “Belgorkhimprom” Institute and “Belaruskaliy” Company, together with the State Committee for the Supervision of Safety Practices in Work in Industry in Republic of Belarus and other organizations have been held the scientific-research, development and technological activities on the following directions in the sphere of improvement of industrial safety requirements during the projecting and exploitation of the potassium mines:

- development and improvement of the technical regulatory legal acts in and around the industrial safety during the projecting, construction and exploitation of potassium mines;
- organization and carrying out the certification testings of the technical devices, equipment and materials in the accredited testing laboratories, according to the requirements of the operating regulatory legal acts and technical regulatory legal acts;
- diagnostics of technical devices by the safety parameters to the prolongation of its specified life (durability);
- substantiation, development and improvement of technical decisions with a realization of various technological processes, taking into account the requirements of industrial safety.
