Abstract

This article concideres the rehabilitation problem of mined lands of Arkhangelsk diamondiferous area. The experimental plot with 120 m2 area is created on the intermediate type bogs for the purpose of revegetation of beneficating tailings for research of possibility of the usage of various-component peat substratums. This area was divided to 33 plots. Pure peat was dug up on two control areas with three-fold repeat. The beneficating tailings of kimberlite rock were stacked in the same plase.
The remained 27 plots were adapted to inclusion of the beneficating tailings. The tailings were entered in a defined consecution with three-fold repeat and were mixed with peat in different proportion.
For types of permenent glasses – meadow grass, red fescue, meadow fescue and timothy grass – were sowed on each type of plots. As a result of experiment, the best characteristics of the grass grouth, were obtained on the areas with peat-tailings ratio by 40–70% and 30–40%. The is not practically much grass on the areas with only peat and tailings.
Timothy grass became the most steady from the four tested sorts. The development of this grass is sufficiently succesful with the share of peat in substratum from 30 to 70%, comparatively with tailings. The recieved results of the several years` standing researching are proposed to be used in the biological recultivation of the disturbed land of Lomonosov oredressing and processing enterprise.
