On the 15^th of February 2011, it would have been the 80th anniversary of Viktor Mikhaylovich Kolobashkin – the famous physics-examiner, Doctor of Physio-Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Rector of the Moscow Engineering-Physical Institute since 1975 till 1984. The whole course of Victor Mikhaylovich`s life, from student to the Rector, is inseparably linked with the MEPHI. Throughout this time, he was active in compaining the educational, and then the scientific and teaching activity with the public activity, and, subsequently, with the administrative work. The range of scientific interests of Viktor Mikhaylovich was in the area of nuclear energy development, nuclear weapons testing.
