For 20 years, a new life in Russia was held so many issues of mining engineers of various specialties, which enables us to state a cardinal, and soon a complete upgrade of generation of "Soviet" scientists, designers and engineers and practitioners in mining. Who they are — a new generation of mining engineers, where and how they work, how to implement their ambitions, what and who are obliged to those who are progressing — received in high school knowledge or other factors, as they themselves and their senior colleagues evaluated advanced level of training of mining engineers, whether they are prepared to deal with complex issues of modernization of mining in Russia? These and many other questions the quality of training of mining engineers not only relevant, but in a complex form problems of innovative development of Russian mining in the XXI century. Mineral resources are complex and will be a basic capacity development of world civilization, and especially Russia. However, to get good life from the mineral wealth of the country, you need an intensive and effective improvement of mining, which means that — corresponding to the quality of training a new generation of mining engineers. In today's globalized world training and qualifications of the Russian mining engineer should be agreed and certified, for example, in accordance with the requirements of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA). This will help to broaden and deepen business communication teachers and students from leading universities mountain, use the most effective methods of training, conduct field trips abroad with a view to understanding not only the best examples of techniques and technologies, and methods of work organization, including industrial and environmental safety. However, the training of mining engineers should not be limited knowledge of geology, exploration and exploitation of mineral resources. The task of teachers — educate students spiritually solid and useful to society. Recently, the first leaders of Russia have been meeting with students, teachers and students of leading universities of the country. This gives hope that proclaimed the idea of modernization and innovation development of mineral resources sector will not remain on paper. It is therefore important and necessary discussion is affected by the mining community in the article concerns and suggestions for their solution.
