Abstract | On the basis of the thermodynamic researches which have revealed increase of solubility of nickel at more high temperature of distillation process that in turn depends on technological pressure, possibility of continuous conducting process of refinement of cadmium with prevention of crystallization of nickel is shown. Dependence of speed of evaporation of cadmium on temperature and the pressure is defined, allowing to estimate decrease in specific productivity of the equipment at pressure increase. Dependence of temperature of the beginning of crystallization of nickel on pressure is presented that in aggregate with the available data about temperature dependence of solubility of nickel in cadmium allows to conduct distillation process, avoiding loss from an alloy solid phase containing nickel. Laboratory researches on distribution of nickel and copper on distillation products at the raised temperatures (500–600 оС) and pressure 1.33–5.32 kPа establish possibility of conducting process of refinement of cadmium in the conditions excluding crystallization refractory intermetallic compounds of cadmium and nickel. The conducted integrated tests of continuous process of refinement of two parties of draft cadmium of the Chimkent lead factory, containing 0.24 and 0.50% (mas.) Nickel, at an elevated pressure and temperature have confirmed basic possibility of processing of cadmium with the high maintenance, refractory impurity, in particular, nickel. Specific productivity thus considerably decreases and is comparable to semicontinuous process — 0.6–1.5 t/(m2·day). The rest from distillation of cadmium with the high maintenance of impurity is supposed to be overworked in the periodic distillation way. |
