Abstract | The analysis of theoretical representations according to which allocation of geosystems is spent, including quarter, is made in connection with current uncertainty of stratigraphical status of pleistocene in general chrono-stratigraphic scale of phanerozoic. It was the subject of discussions during recent sessions of International Geological Congress. On this basis it was concluded that attribution of pleistocene in the rank of department in structure of neogene system is the most suitable variant allowing for global display of various events with application of integrated approach for interpretation of actual materials. Its division on circles, sublevels, terminations and steps should be carried out mainly according to biostratigraphical data. |
