Abstract | The specialized Vanyukov furnace with furnace shaft is separated by vertical baffle in two chambers is constructed at OJSC “South Ural Nickel Plant”. Methods of management of the melt temperature in both chambers, methods of regulation of structure of received matte, continuous feeding of charge and reagents, discharge of slag and matte have been developed during tests and operation of a new smelting complex. A range of the important technological regularities of smelting of oxidized nickel ores in Vanyukov furnace is established. |
