| Abstract | Multicrystalline silicon structure and its effect on solar cell efficiency have been studied. Multi-silicon wafers have been found to differ only in the fraction of small grains sized up to 2—4 mm whereas the medium and large grain fractions are approximately constant. A wafer sorting method by multicrystalline silicon grain size which includes a quantitative measure has been discussed. High content of the small grain fraction can reduce solar sell efficiency. |
