Abstract | The paper presents different variants of quantitative description of structural anisotropy in ferrite-bainite steels based on selective pickling of bainite areas having rack-type morphology and their estimation using automatic image analyzer. It was established that structural anisotropy estimated by volumetric part and size of extended areas of bainite areas having rack-type morphology, oriented along the rolling direction, describes adequately mechanical properties during extension and impact bending of sheet metal for tube steel strip with yield point in the range 485–625 N/sq. mm. |
