| Abstract |
At the present stage of development of the metallurgical industry, issues of reducing CO₂ emissions are given special attention. As one of the ways to reduce CO₂ emissions in steel production, an alternative to the classical technology of steel production from virgin raw materials is considered, namely: the transition to the technology of producing metallized pellets with subsequent remelting in an arc furnace. A feature of blast furnace smelting of vanadiumcontaining titanomagnetites is the presence of valuable vanadium in the ore, which must be extracted. The results of a laboratory study of the metallization of pellets of EVRAZ KMPP and their subsequent melting in an arc furnace are presented. The possibility of obtaining metallized pellets with a metallization degree of 92% and their subsequent remelting is shown. A pyrometallurgical off-blast furnace scheme for processing vanadium-containing titanomagnetites is proposed.
