Abstract

For many regions of Russia, the mining industry was, is and will remain in the future the basis of socio-economic development. These regions include the north-east of Russia and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) where a number of alluvial diamond deposits are being developed. The peculiarity of the deposits located in the region lies in the fact that they are located along the course of an extended network of streams and rivers with an undeveloped infrastructure, in difficult geocryological, physical and geographical conditions and very far from enterprises processing mineral raw materials. Under these conditions, mining companies such as Almazy Anabara JSC, after working with using seasonal processing plants, switched to the widespread use of mobile and modular sorting facilities, which replaced the basis of the sands enrichment stage, with a very high degree of reduction of initial sands, by X-ray luminescent separation for large classes and dense medium enrichment of the main productive size classes. The article describes the sequence of development of the enrichment technology from seasonal processing plants to modern sorting facilities. The technical possibilities of increasing the efficiency of the processes of both separation and finishing of concentrates are shown. In addition, the development of deposits is accompanied by the associated extraction of gold and platinum. The creation of such facilities has indeed become a significant breakthrough in the technology of sand processing and has significantly increased productivity. At present, the sorting facilities are unified, and the technological scheme has become more versatile and adaptable, with an average production capacity of 150 m³/h, which is determined by the throughput of head scrubber separation.
The research was carried out under the state contract with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Topic No. 0297-2021-0022, State Registration No. 122011800089-2.
The laboratory tests were performed using equipment of the Center for Shared Use of the Yakutsk Science Center, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, Grant No. 13. CKP.21.0016.
