Abstract | The retrospective analysis results on the relationship between land subsidence and sink processes above the mine fields at the Upper Kama potash salt deposit with the adverse local and dynamic gravity anomalies are presented. The dynamic anomalies of gravity are determined according to the data of repeated (monitoring) gravimetric surveys. It is found that dissolution and decompaction of karst rocks occurs in the initially natural zones of low density, which are pointed at by the negative local anomalies of the gravity field. Continuation of the processes of dissolution and deconsolidation of rocks is indicated by a decrease in the field values in a certain period of time between the repeated surveys. The most unfavorable zones, where large-scale changes leading to catastrophic consequences are possible, are the areas of spatial coincidence of the local and dynamic gravity anomalies. Identification of natural zones of low density in undermined rock mass based on the local anomalies of the gravity field makes it possible to specify the form and place of induced deformations in undermined strata, while the reduction in the field values identified as a result of monitoring observations enables predicting areas of hazardous geological processes.
