Abstract | The most of the oil and gas fields discovered in Azerbaijan are associated with terrigenous deposits. Practice shows that most terrigenous reservoirs are heterogeneous. Individual layers in their composition vary in their shape, porosity, size, permeability and other parameters. In this regard, it is very important to study and clarify the properties of reservoir heterogeneity in advance. From this point of view, the study of the genesis and sedimentation conditions of terrigenous deposits may be useful in the search for new fields. This article is devoted to the study of the genesis of deposits of the productive series based on the results of a quantitative assessment of logging curves. Section of the well at the Binagadi and Balakhani fields of the oil and gas region of the Absheron Peninsula were selected as objects of study. Consideration of quantitative features along the curves of the GIS complex and the curves of changes in effective porosity and bulk clay with depth allows us to obtain more accurate results when studying the genesis of sedimentary rocks and sedimentation conditions, as well as the lithological composition of rocks. It should also be noted that, unlike others, this method is based on the exact values of the parameters of field geophysics in studying the lithofacial properties of sedimentary rocks. According to the results of lithofacial analysis of sedimentary rocks for wells located along the study profile in the Binagadi and Balakhani fields of the oil and gas region of the Absheron Peninsula, the presence of streaming, bar facies and facies of beach shoals have been revealed. The power distribution models of the identified facies were constructed and analyzed for wells located along the studied profile. |
