Abstract | Control of material quality becomes very important in the conditions of deterioration of raw material quality in many industrial areas. Quality testing is thereby maximally useful if the results can be timely received by the enterprises. That was the main reason thyssenkrupp Steel Europe has put into operation the completely automatized sintering testing plant at its Duisburg works. This plant has been manufactured by Heat and Power Engineering GmbH (Stuttgart) and reflects the technological sintering process in the scale of pilot shop. The plant includes mixer for intensive mixing, burner, loading tower for preliminary crushing and hardness testing drum for receiving of required grain distribution. Special manipulator provides delivery of sintering bowl and collector with appr. 200 kg of sinter to separate stations and realizes all pouring operations; it is considered as the main part of the plant. |
