SMS group has developed the simple and quick measurement technique in rolling mills using CaliView system. The measurement data presented by digital systems allow to make the process more efficient and they can be easily exported for further usage. The CaliView system saves the measured results and creares the large data base using statistical information about errors. The neasurement results can be easily compared based on usage of the same parameters, and it is another advantage of this system. Checking of rolling stands and passes guarantees that only approved equipment will be used. Regular measurements of using passes allows to provide their operating parameters and to increase service life via most exact determination of allowable wear.
