Abstract |
Electric lighting in underground mines allows around-the-clock operation, good observability of a work place and increased productivity of labor, which improves the quality of products and ensures a due level of operational safety. Currently industry widely uses illuminators with LED lamps mainly advantageous for low energy consumption, long service life and mechanical strength as compared with the other kinds of lamping. Power supply of the lighting networks in underground mines involves many transformers, illuminating instruments and banks of lamps. The fire- and explosion-safe underground mines extensively use lighting equipment manufactured by PP SHELA LLC. As a consequence of application of LED lamps, the rated capacity of the lighting networks has been lowered, and PP SHELA has started manufacturing lower capacity lighting equipment: 0.8; 1.6; 2.5 and 5.0 kV·A for three-phase lighting systems and 0.25; 0.4; 0.63; 0.8 and kV·A for one-phase systems. The analytical research of the equipment permitted estimation of voltage loss versus loading of transformners of various capacity and voltage. The resultant dependences can be used by the electromechanical service staff when allocating cable sections of the network or to determine the maximum length of the lighting cable. |
