The paper is devoted to Anatoly Dyakov, the famous scientist, astronomer by education and mission. For many decades he has worked in the helio-meteorological laboratory at Kuznetsk metallurgical works in Western Siberia. His unique technique of weather forecast allowed to provide reliable deliveries of raw materials to the enterprise and, consequently, its regular operation without interruption. He is an example of many talented people made their input in the development of national metallurgy.
