Abstract |
Productive activity of the largest mining and processing plant is related with the utilization of natural resources and has a definite influence on the environment. Therefore, Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant (Lebedinsky GOK) prioritizes issues of environmental security. The systematic supervision of the activities in the nature protection area is implemented by the Ecological Control and Environmental Protection Department. The foundation of the control is the system of ecological management based on the evaluation of the significant ecological index — development of technical design assignments and control of project documentation on long-term production progression. This approach allows appreciable enhancement of the environmental performance efficiency at the plant. The article describes the experience of supervision over the largest mining and processing plant activities using the signifi cant ecological aspect within the ecological management system (in terms of dust impact on air quality). In the capacity of the significant ecological aspect, the development of technical design assignments and control of project documentation on long-term production progression is accepted. |
