Abstract | As a result of visualization for design decisions there appears a possibility to present the information about a process facility in a comfortable – for visual observation and analysis – form. Besides, various techniques and methods of visualization are often used for presentation and advertising to demonstrate the possibilities of an enterprise to carry out design work. It should be noted that in the context of preparing the digital prototypes of actual process facilities the visualization itself it is not only the development process of a prototype data but also the form that will display the prototype. Level of detail for the prototypes under development depends on the choice of form for presenting visualization, and that, in its turn, impacts the scope of work in geometric modeling. IT department at VNII Galurgy Stock Co. had performed design projects on visualization the facilities of Polovodovsky potash plant and granulating section at Solikamsk Mine No. 3. When implementing these projects the procedures for organization of the modeling process were developed, as well as principles for decomposing of geometrical models, mechanisms for integration of models in different formats were implemented and was formed the database for models of process equipment that afterwards was used for mastering the techniques of 3D design. On the results of implementation the projects in visualization there was carried out analysis of the adopted design decisions and introduced corrections into the methodological framework. So far, several different approaches to visualization have been developed and each of them proposes its own form for presentation of results. This article gives main stages in implementation of visualization projects, structure (architecture) of software package and analytical overview of developed methodological procedures and techniques of model construction. |
