Представлено обширное, хорошо аргументированное и иллюстрированное исследование, обобщающее историю возникновения и развития алмазного промысла в прибрежной зоне шельфа Намибии — от водолазов до современных эффективных методов и технико-технологических комплексов поисков, разведки и добычи. Обобщая опыт поисков, разведки и подводной добычи алмазов в Намибии, статья носит, по сути, методический характер и в этом плане актуальна для стран и компаний, заинтересованных в освоении подводных минеральных ресурсов шельфов.
