Abstract

Evgeniy M. Bychkov dedicated his whole life to development of the branch of precious metals and stones.
For many years, E. M. Bychkov was a member of editorial staff of “Tsvetnye Metally” journal. He would have celebrated his 80th anniversary in November 2014.
E. M. Bychkov received his respect and authority owing to his profession: Head of the best Platinum Group Metals Refining Plant and State Valuables Depository of Ministry of Finances of USSR.
After the collapse of the USSR, E. M. Bychkov actually created the Committee of the Russian Federation for Precious Metals and Precious Stones.
