Abstract

The article reports the results of improvement of local rockburst hazard forecasting based on the acoustic emission parameters in terms of the Gluboky Mine, Antey Deposit. The forecasting method is implemented using device model SB-32M (SAPFIR). As distinct from the basic approach to forecasting rockburst hazard by core disking, the new method features operational speed (measurement time is 20 min) and technological efficiency (the device installation requires a borehole not longer than 1 m). In addition to rockburst hazard forecasting, the method allows for measurement of voltage impulses if dynamic events take place during measurement taking. To estimate voltage impulses, a device is designed that generates calibrated impacts on rock mass. The article presents graphs of behavior of acoustic emission after drivage with blasting, with recorded dynamic events. The data on acoustic emission measured in the rock mass sections with spalling and other dynamic events enable refinement of the rockburst hazard criteria. By the obtained values of voltage impulses, energy flow to a mine working is estimated. The full information on state of rocks allows the focused prevention of rockburst hazard. The article gives examples of selecting the rockburst hazard prevention measures based on acoustic emission measurements. The behavior and duration of active deformation process and voltage impulses caused by dynamic events are taken into account. The system of rockburst hazard forecasting and prevention is improved.
