Abstract | Preliminary fluid injection in a coal seam through a well is one of the control methods of dust, formed as a result of coal mining. The experience has shown that coal moistening with water is ineffective due to the difficulties of uneven penetration through seams. Authors of this article have proved that coal moistening is more efficient, using surfactant gas solution by injection. Therefore, there is risen a task of definition of the best parameters of injection procedure and surfactant concentration in well injection. The problem is solved by studying of saturation process on coal samples and subsequent verification of obtained results on sites. There was made a conclusion that dust formation capacity of coal is reduced to minimum when surfactant concentration is in the range of 0.2-0.5%, and nitrogen pressure is 1 MРa above fluid operating pressure during injection. The foregoing parameters were used for coal seam surfactant injection at one of Kuznetsk basin mines. The result has proved the efficiency of dust control procedure. Dust concentration in the face was decreased by 2 times. |
