Abstract | This article shows the centuries-old history of formation of mining productions in Komi Krai. The given data correspond about the gradual creation and development of multi-branch mining industry of Komi Krai during several centuries. At the same time, operating enterprises not only solved the problem of satisfaction of local needs in industrial and food products, but also supplied the neighbor regions with these products. At the same time, these enterprises realized the important state and defense orders. The range of enterprises, such as radium manufacturing plant and asphaltite mine, were unique for USSR. These enterprises provided the USSR industry with import-replacing and irreplaceable raw materials. Only the long-term period functioning of these enterprises provided the priority of Russia in realization of the range of scientific-research, defense and industrial projects. By now, most of the considered enterprises have ceased to exist. |
