Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine is a new technical level and multi-field enterprise, which united various branches, such as: mining, metallurgy, chemistry, geological prospecting, mechanical engineering, machine-tool construction, jewelery, construction and agriculture. The Combine's structure includes the following objects: five mining departments; scientific and industrial center «Geology of precious metals and uranium»; construction department; four hydrometallurgical plants; gold extraction factory; central scientific-research laboratory; machine building, jewelery and sulphuric acid plants etc. Because of its economic independence, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine kept the economic relations with CIS countries and obtained the recognition of business circles of Largest Economies. Nowadays, the Combine collaborates with more than 80 companies from different countries. According to the development concept of the Combine, the volume of marketable products output is foreseen to be increased by 10–20% for the period till 2020 (in comparison with the results of 2010). In the conditions of decreasing of extracted mineral raw materials quality, this increasing requires the realization of several operations: significant intensification of innovation activities at Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine; carrying out of large amount of scientific-research work; development and introduction of high technologies; carrying out of engineering and technological modernization of production.
