Abstract

This article is an attempt to systematizing basic approaches and principles of motivation system generation; additionally, it emphasizes some aspects of concern for managers of mining companies. The author considers basic industrial (hygienic) factors and motivation factors referred to as nonmaterial components. Aiming to motivate and improve the work of personnel, it is proposed to: Elucidate actual situation; Lead on to improvements; Set up intelligible goals and objectives; Stimulate and motivate; Encourage information exchange between personnel; Introduce a bonus plan. The effective procedure of personnel priming calculations in operation at the Ramensky Mining and Processing Integrated Works, which is illustrated in the article, is based on the threelevel bonus plan. The bonuses are calculated yearly, according to the performance of the company and efficiency of productive processes, as well as in line with the personal output of managers and staff members of the company. The major principle of motivation is to inflame personnel and offer an interesting job that is a natural motivation in itself and no additional impetus is needed. The company needs to hold members of the staff, make their work meaningful and intelligent, and to inspire eagerness toward higher income and progress.
