Abstract | The article discusses aspects of higher education in mining engineeirng in one of the leading higher education institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan—Tashkent State Technical University. Recently, innovative information analysis technologies and new teaching techniques are widely introduced into the educative process. A strong emphasis is laid on modern software products for simulation modeling of process flows in oil and gas, mining and metallurgy, power, mechanical engineering and other industries. The University highlights gifted graduates having a taste for research and tutorage and engages them as “trainees–researchers–aspirants.” The challenge of involving students solicitous to take a dive into the midst of grand issues and urgent problems of industrial production and intellectual activity is met by the Center of Youths’ Innovation Ideas that joins together Bachelors and Masters. The University works actively with intent to reach the top-priority goal of training highly professional experts in geology and mining. |
