Abstract | The article describes the results of checking a probabilistic model of grinding using the data of quartz ore mono size fractions (–1+0.5 and –0.5+0.2 mm size fractions) grinding in a laboratory drum ball mill in tumbling regime. The model has been developed on the basis of similarity with respect to grinding process in drum ball mills, operating in tumbling regime, and chemical processes for consecutive reactions. It is shown, that with grinding of coarse size fraction, adequacy of probabilistic model is increased. With comparison of the calculated and experimental data, a correlation coefficient of R = 0.987 was obtained. In grinding mono size fraction –0.5+0.2 mm, a correlation coefficient of the calculated and experimental data was R = 0.930. It is noted, that decrease in correlation with grinding a finer quartz ore mono size fraction in this case is caused by taking into consideration only three size fractions, as compared with four size fractions, considered with grinding mono size fraction –1+0.5 mm. The described checking was applied to the probabilistic model of grinding for the first time, and upon the whole indicates a stringency of the used model. |
