Abstract | The paper describes the structure of the system of automatic control of ventilation, which is a part of the main ventilation fan installation, mounted in Berezovskiy underground mine at Fourth Mine Group of “Belaruskaly” OJSC . The article describes the concept of the control of ventilation, applied at this mine, as well as the criteria for optimal control of ventilation. Basic elements (actuators) of the system are presented, among them the recirculation fan installation, the main fan installation, automatic ventilation doors, specialized software to calculate the amount of air required for potash mine ventilation. Fans manufactured by Howden Ventilatoren GmbH, used in the system as the main ventilation fans, allow to change their performance by turning the blades of the impeller (without fan stop) and rotor speed. Automatic ventilation doors are air louvre regulators for accurate varying of airflow in mine workings. Recirculation systems are equipped with frequency converters designed for partial reuse of air in the main areas of the mine with automatic maintenance of the maximum allowable rate of recycling. The economic effect of the system was stipulated by lower feeding of the main fan (due to recycling), by decrease of power of shaft heaters durinr the cold period, increasing the efficiency of the main fan, by reducing the unevenness of distribution (factor ratio) between different parts of ventilation network. |
