Abstract | For a number of reasons, the expedited reproduction of oil and gas reserves is an urgent need of Russia. It is necessary to prepare these stocks in areas with a well-developed infrastructure of oil and gas industry. The lands of Western Siberia most fully meet these requirements. The frontier but highly prospective Paleozoic sediments are the promising target for the opening of oil and gas deposits. Because of the geological structure, the seismic researches are ineffective to identify the promising objects in the Paleozoic sediments. Solving this problem proposes to use a range of methods, including the quantumoptical filtering of satellite imagery, high-precision magnetic survey, a set of electrical survey methods and geochemistry. This approach can be efficiently used in areas where Paleozoic sediments are covered by low-power cover, less or equal to 1000–800 m. |
