Abstract

Nowadays, the biggest part of reserves of uranium deposits of Streltsovskaya group of rich and easily accessible ores is exhausted or is close to be exhausted. Significant expanding of raw material base is necessary to be realized for the purpose of maintenance of stable product release at Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union. This task can be solved due to the following activities:
-mastering of new deposits;
-involving of poor and off-balance raw materials to development;
-involving of raw materials, left in blocks and separate fine veinlets of exploited deposits, to development.
However, traditional mastering of these resources require the significant capital investments and increased exploitation costs with significant increasing of cost price of marketable products.
In connection with this, one of efficient directions is the final processing of residual reserves of deposits, using the geotechnology of block underground leaching. According to the results of pilot works, it is possible to apply the process of block underground leaching of uranium from poor «refractory» ores.
Compliance of a range of conditions of preparation of ore mass shrink stope and organization of systems of delivery of reagent solutions to irrigation is necessary for the guaranteeing of the process efficiency.
