Abstract | The article highlights the issues of the development of the technology of melting aluminum scrap and wastes at the enterprises of the secondary metallurgy of the Soviet Union and modern Russia. An overview of used at the enterprises of the fuel furnaces and modern tendencies of development of secondary aluminium metallurgy. A brief review of the technology of smelting and refining of secondary aluminium alloys. Describes in detail the technology of smelting of aluminium scrap and waste in rotary kilns with tilt axis of the “UNIVERSAL”. Given the results of the melting of various aluminum-containing waste and given the comparative characteristics of the local rotary furnaces with tilt axis and the rotor ovens — import analogues. Describes the operation of the furnaces with external metal receiver and circulation of the melt with the use of mechanical mixing devices and devices with a MHD-pumps. The use of this type of furnaces allows to achieve high checkouts of metal during melting of chips and small scrap, however, requires a thorough preparation of scrap for melting: crushing, burning, separation. Tilting rotary furnace and rotary furnace with tilt axis are deprived of these shortcomings, does not require any special preparation of the waste and scrap for melting. Melting in them the most different kinds of scrap, including low-quality, allows to achieve a high technological indicators. In the article are also shown disadvantages of rotary kilns: increased removal of dust, application of special burners, high qualification of the personnel. Comparative estimation of the value of domestic furnaces with tilt axis and inclined rotor ovens domestic analogs-analogues import. |
