Abstract | At present time, up-to-date quality control systems provide processing of the data about product quality in autonomous procedure and in online procedure. It makes possible not only to find stable defects of material, but also to prevent their permanent arising and propagation. Additionally, quality control systems can accumulate knowledge about production campaigns and execute on this base analysis and management of actual technological processes. Accumulation and formalization of received data and experience is conducted step-by-step. Multipath surface control systems has opportunities that are much wider the boundaries of quality estimation for each rolled coil. From one side, they allow to reflect all history of sheet surface quality; from the other side, due to data analysis it is possible to make more exact allowances for each technological stage. On-line control of these allowances provides timely recognition of critical quality deviations. State-of-the-art quality control systems have stepped ahead — they provide the following logical operation after data collection and storage: give local access to data that are outside technological line and the plant itself and make them readable in the suitable form allowing to use all contained information directly for optimization of quality of products and rise of production efficiency. |
