Abstract | It is noticed in iron and steel industry that control of parameters of almost all automatized processes is based often on the quantity of data, not quality. therefore, mistakes and low efficiency in data processing retard technological processes, stipulates additional expenses and make obstacles for internal communications. Owing to permanently increased flow of input information, its presentation, based on efficient data choice and preliminary processing, becomes the problem of extraordinary importance. However, it should be clear that excellent processing of incorrect data is not the way to go ahead. Therefore, primary processing and preparing the data before its including in data bases is the decisive stage: it is necessary to provide completeness and mutual acceptability of data, lack of contradictions, because it will be practically impossible to correct such mistakes later. For this purpose, original algorithm for processing of collected data is developed using technologists, then the data are statistically generalized and transformed in required qualitative parameters as information massifs, using manufacturing execution systems (MES). Examples of such approach are described for rolling mills. One of the main advantages of the data developed measuring and processing techniques is providing equipment is the link between supporting equipment in working conditions, technological process and product quality. Technical maintenance of the system becomes more easy, more efficient and more cheap. |
