The July issue contains articles covering the journal’s all major sections, including papers contributed by the Siberian Federal University, MISiS, Pacific National University, D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Tula State University and others.
The Economics and Management of Production section presents a review prepared by Swedish experts who analyzed the current situation with the global consumption of certain high-value natural resources that are used for the production of information and communication technology elements.
The Beneficiation section presents a visiometric technique for analyzing the size distribution of crushed ore, the efficiency of which was confirmed through a series of pilot tests. The Heavy Non-Ferrou Metals section looks at the production of highly dispersed metallic nickel particles of a given size, as well as the oxidation kinetics and properties of lead-zinc alloys.
Of practical interest is the paper published in the Noble Metals and Their Alloys section that describes the use of non-cyanide reagents to recover gold from the product of pressure oxidation of sulphide concentrates.
The paper included in the Light Metals, Non-Carbon Materials setion describes a study carried out by RUSAL JSC in laboratory conditions that offers a number of advanced solutions on reducing the hydrogen saturation degree of melt aluminium.
The Materials Science section looks at the structure and properties of aluminium-nickel-zinc alloys produced by SHS metallurgy, as well as of titanium nickelide alloys produced by dual-arc smelting.
The Metal Processing section includes a selection of three articles that look at the effet of the forming process parameters on the structure and properties of non-ferrous metals and alloys, as well as the process of gas dynamic cold spraying of the Al-Al2O3 powder mixture on aluminium substrates with various roughnesses.
