Chernye Metally

The November issue of the journal is opene by the section "Preparation of raw materials." The practical possibility of implementing the technology for production of extrusion briquettes of small classes (particle size less than 5 mm) of rich martite-hydrohematite polydisperse iron ores, in particular ores of the Yakovlevo deposit, has been shown. The authors of the article believe that extrusion agglomeration can be considered as an alternative to “cold” briquetting on roller presses.

The section “Rolling and other metal forming processes” contains two articles, one of them presents a methodology for estimating residual stresses in tubes after plugless drawing, which makes it possible to predict the distribution of residual stresses over the tube wall section and thereby evaluate the technology from the point of view of residual stresses. The second article proposes an analytical method for calculating the curvature of a steel plate at alternating bending, this method can be used in metallurgy in the production of thick-walled large-diameter steel pipes. Based on the studies, the section “Metallurgy and Heat Treatment” shows the positive effect of additional post-welding heat treatment on the level of local microhardness and an increase in the resistance to brittle fracture of the coarse grain zone in the weld heat-affected zone. A new energy-efficient mode of softening heat treatment was proposed, which ensures full compliance of the mechanical properties of the silicon-manganese welding wire with the requirements of regulatory documents.

In the section “Metallurgical equipment”, a functional diagnostic system is presented, which allows to search for defects in equipment of the metallurgical and other industries both automatically and manually by a specialist in the field of vibration diagnostics.

In the section "Engineering Technologies" it is shown that the cutting method with advanced plastic deformation is an effective means for improving the workability of the heat-resistant cast alloy ZhS6K and can be considered as a reserve for increasing labor productivity. The specialists of JSC AK Tulamashzavod using the Cylinder part as an example have shown the feasibility of a natural aging operation for six months.

The Energy and Ecology section is devoted to three topics: prospects for the disposal of household waste in metallurgical furnaces; economic risks for our country, due to obligations undertaken under the Paris Agreement, and ways to overcome them; prospects for the use of a calciothermic method for processing spent oil hydrotreating catalysts in industry.

The section “Economics and Finance” presents prospects for development of the iron ore industry and ferrous metallurgy in the Far East from the point of view of the national program of the Russian Federation “Socio-economic development of the Far East and the Baikal region for the period until 2025”.

The section "On the 75th anniversary of the Victory" is devoted to the history of creation of the Memorial complex "Barrow of Glory" - a monument of the Great Patriotic War, located in Belarus.
