Tsvetnye Metally
The 8-th issue of the journal "Tsvetnye Metally” (Non-ferrous metals) (August 2016) shares the issues of theory and practice of ore dressing, production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex use of crude ore, economics and management of production.
This year is the 100-th anniversary of Ekaterinburg Non-Ferrous Metals Processing Plant. The article “Standard samples to provide reliability of the results of noble metals products analysis” tells about one of the ways of its activity.
The article “Peculiarities and importance of price formation in non-ferrous metallurgy (on example of copper concentrate production)” (the item “Economics and management of production”) shows the method of the price formula, shown by the certain example of calculation of the price of one ton of copper concentrate applied to the products of Ural mining enterprises.
The article “Tests of reagent modes of refractory gold-bearing ore flotation using plant modifier” (the item “Benefication”) shows the results of laboratory tests of plant modifier, obtained in the form of stems and leaf aqueous extract of Sosnowsky's hogweed, under the flotation of gold-bearing ores of Olimpiada and Natalkinskoe deposits. Preliminary technical and economic assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of plant modifier showed its investment attractiveness: the use of a new reagent mode will provide the increase in the gross profit of the enterprise.
The article by G. V. Sedelnikova, A. V. Kurkov and K. M. Smirnov shows the review of the main results of Russian scientific researches devoted to the process of autoclave processing of refractory and double refractory gold-bearing sulfide concentrates. Technological routes and projects published in specialized editions in 2011–2015 and proposed for putting into practice are observed.
The article “Assessment of efficiency of using the polyvinyl alcohols as binder during the briquetting of flotation copper-nickel concentrate” shows the use of bulk copper-nickel concentrate (JSC “Kola MMC”) in the form of pressed cake after filtration as an object of investigation. A key factor, defining the efficiency of using the polyvinyl alcohol as binder, is the polymerization grade: the higher it is, the lower is the consumption of polyvinyl alcohol, required for the qualitative briquettes obtaining. From the other hand, increasing the grade of polymerization of polyvinyl alcohol leads to its viscosity.
The article “Aluminium-lithium alloys of new generation and aluminium fiberglass laminates on their basis” shows the main development directions of perspective aluminium-lithium alloys. The alloys of new generation with optimized chemical composition, manufacturing technologies and heat treatment of semiproducts, as well as aluminium fiberglass laminates on their basis are considered. Usage of monolithic integral skin-stringer extrusions joined by FSW or hybrid laminated wing panels on the basis of aluminium-lithium alloys instead of monolithic panels from the alloy В95pchТ2 (В95пчТ2) will provide increase of a bearing capacity of the construction by up to 20% and, at the same time, weight reduction of construction components by up to 15%.
An interest to titanium aluminides – one of the most prospective materials for obtaining of the blades of new-generation gas-turbine engines instead of nickel alloys – is grown. Authors of the article “Influence of hot isostatic pressing on structure, phase composition and mechanical properties of intermetallic compounds on the base of Ti – Al – Nb – Mo – Cr – Zr system” shows the analysis using calculation-experimental methods.
