The article develops subject of useful models mentioned earlier in the work [1], standards and their practical application in the sphere of design of the enterprises for processing of ores and nonmetallic minerals. In materials of article the sense of terms «useful model» and «group of useful models of reference factory» relating to projects and physical objects — crushing and classifying sections and concentrating plants, pelletizing and agglomeration factories reveals. The list of the criteria characterizing useful model of reference factory, grouped according to the belonging of the described properties, is provided. Each group of criteria is considered separately for the purpose to demonstrate the process of search and a choice of useful model of reference factory depending on a set of the applied criteria, considered characteristics and their values (are presented in a short form) in connection with annual production rate of the enterprise or its useful model on raw materials. The area of group of useful models of reference factory use according to stages of life cycle of the project from development of the concept till introduction and operation of projected object is graphically presented. The conclusion about potentially possible identification of designed, under construction and operating factories on processing of ores and nonmetallic minerals according to the list of criteria considered above and area of their values is formulated.
