This article considers a history of a creation, formation and development of Dokuchaevsk Mining Technical School. There is shown the significance of the Technical School in training the highly qualified personnel for Dokuchaevsk Flux and Dolomite Industrial Complex. An education process in the Technical School is integrated with the production process in the Complex.

In 2005, Ukrainian Ministry of Science and Education with support of National Mining University and A. V. Ponomarev – chairman ob board of Dokuchaevsk Industrial Complex, made a decision to consider a possibility of including Dokuchaevsk Mining Technical School the structure of university.

The high level of the patriotic education of students is noted.
