Реферат | In the Kaliningrad region and adjacent areas in the Baltic Sea, during geological survey of scale 1:500 000 and the search for amber and oil, appearances of phosphorites and phosphate-bearing rocks were frequently recorded. They are confined to carbonate, terrigenous-carbonate deposits of the Mesozoic (Jurassic — Cretaceous) Epoch and the terrigenous deposits of the Paleocene glauconitic, forming phosphate levels in the Kaliningrad region. In one of the Late Eocene age levels, during exploration of Primorskoe (Palmnikenskoe) deposit of amber, nodular phosphorite reserves that make up 3,9 million tons at an average grade P2O5 = 14,4 % were counted in the area of 8,5 square kilometers. Works of the authors have identified the following types of phosphorites: 1 — nodular, 2 — nodular-slab, 3 — grainy, 4 — biomorphic, 5 v clastic (redeposited). The greatest industrial interest are the first three types of phosphate rock. The article discusses the possibility of extraction of nodular and nodular-phosphate of plate, overlying sediments of amber-bearing Promorskoe deposit of amber. We consider the geological conditions of a number of manifestations of rock phosphate, and studied their structure. In general, phosphorite deposits of the Mesozoic and Paleogene are examined insufficiently. We consider the feasibility of conducting special search operations in the region to study the phosphorite bearing basin and deposits of granular phosphorites. |
