Реферат | The Deputatskoye tin ore deposit, located in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), belongs to most promising, and may provide for 30 years of tin production with relatively high content of this metal in ore. The deposit commercially valuable mineral is cassiterite (stannic oxide). The main ore processing method is stage gravity concentration. The deposit ores also include low-density minerals without tin content. This provides a possibility for significant reduction in mined ore processing costs by rejecting up to 30–40 % of barren rock at the ore pretreatment stage. Cassiterite, regarding grain size, is characterized by medium and fine dissemination. Along with this, in processing flow sheet design it is very important to take into account the characteristic feature — presence of various sufficiently large cassiterite aggregate accumulations, composed of fine grains, in ore. They must be to a maximum degree recovered into individual tin-concentrated product prior to run-of-mine ore grinding in the first-stage mills. To process the deposit's ores efficiently, it is necessary to provide all conditions that conduce prevention (reduction) of cassiterite overgrinding and its transition into slime size fraction (smaller than 0.007 mm), processing of which is extremely ineffective by existing methods. In connection with this, it is unacceptable to drill boreholes through dense veinlets and bunches of cassiterite during ore body during mining. Design of ore processing flow sheet must also provide all possible measures for prevention of slime formation. The article proposes a new ore processing flow sheet head circuit as two-stage jigging, as well as thorough final gravity concentrates processing circuit. A sufficiently developed stage gravity ore concentration flow sheet with integration of the proposed operations permits to achieve high tin recovery into saleable concentrates with comparatively low-cost ore processing. |
