| Реферат | Strength assessment of parts of mining machines during their operation is one of the critical conditions of accident and downtime prevention. A drilling tool is often the most loaded member as it exercises direct destructive effect on rock mass. The experimental data on estimation of influence exerted by manufacturing technology of toolholders on their torsional resistance are described. Designs of toolholders for two- and three-flute drill bits are discussed. Toolholders of two-flute bits were manufactured by pressworking and casting. Toolholders of three-flute bits were made by casting. Two-flute bits are used in drilling with portable rock bolters. Three-flute bits can stand higher torsional load as compared with two-flute bits, and apply higher force to rock being fractured therefore. For this reason, they are used in drilling with hydraulic selfpropelling rock bolters and drills in the systems of heading machines. The use of such tools in pneumatic drilling leads to a drop in the drilling rate and is therefore expedient in drilling in jointed rocks. In this case, the third flute prevents jamming of the bit in cracks. The studies proved the application range specified by mining machine manufacturers: the limit torsional load of three-flute bits is 1.5 times higher than the torsional load that leads to failure of two-flute bits. The research also shows that stamping promotes higher torsional resistance of toolholders as against casting. Moreover, normalization of casting has no effect on the torsional resistance of toolholders. |
